Based in Los Angeles, British-born Alexander Chow-Stuart (aka Alexander Stuart) is currently adapting Toby Barlow's extraordinary LA-based book, Sharp Teeth, for Film4. And writing the novel, Chinatown Nights, for Doubleday (UK).
With novels, non-fiction and children's books translated into eight languages and published in the US, Europe and throughout the world, Stuart's most controversial work is his novel, The War Zone, about a family torn apart by incest, which was turned into an emotionally searing film by Oscar-nominated actor/director Tim Roth.
Stuart's screenplays include Head Shots for Paramount, with Jodie Foster attached; Bitten for Warner Bros, with Angelina Jolie attached; and Under The Skin for Industry Entertainment/Film4, with director Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast/Birth) attached.
In 2006, Stuart was sworn in as a US citizen. Yellow Giraffe Pictures, Inc is his loan-out and production company. Main website: www.alexanderstuart.com
